A lot of people only spend time to worry about their cars when it experiences a problem, when there are actually very simple ways to take care of your car and avoid these problems from arising. Accidents happen on a daily basis, not only due to negligence, but because of poor car maintenance. Below are some pointers to ensure that your car is in good working condition:

Do not overtire your car. Like any other piece of technology, your vehicle has its limits. Avoid overloading it when you can. Overloading can cause a negative impact on both your absorbers and car suspensions.

Service your car regularly. Keep a schedule and adhere to it. Not only would it help maintain the performance of your car, it could greatly reduce as well the wear and tear effects.

Regularly check fluid levels. In order to be assured of safety, check the fluid levels in your engines. The engine oil, brake oil and gear oil needs inspection, if possible on a weekly basis, to achieve maximum safety and functioning.

Check your tire pressure from time to time. Over-inflated or under-inflated tires could cause a lot of inconvenience. Have a tire pressure gauge ready to maintain the optimum tire pressure desired. Remember also that a well-inflated tire maximizes fuel efficiency and saves money.

Wash your car. Use a good car shampoo that could efficiently remove the dirt and grime and at the same time help maintain any previous wax application. Polishing every six months is another good idea also to groom your car.

Wax your car. Not only will it make your car look better, it will protect it also. Rainwater can persistently beat on the exterior of your can. If your wax on the paint surface is not thick enough, it would not function as a protective layer and the rain will corrode the paint.

Install tint or use car shade. Your car also needs protection from the sun. Make sure that you have a tint installed to block the radiation effects of the sun, as this would effectively lessen the damaging effects of heat from the sun to your car seats and other components that are made of plastic. Car shade could also do the trick.

Clean your glass. Your windscreen will acquire layers of dirt or surface film that can cause glare or obscure visibility. Clean the glass from the interior and exterior side and utilize screen wash.

It is very highly advisable to spend even just a little time on basic car care practice. Not only will you car would be in a lot better condition, but it could also avoid problems or accidents from arising.
