So the number one thing to remember is to do your research. Don't go to any kind of auction without knowing what you want to bid on and how much you are willing to bid. As well as knowing what it is worth. These three things are going to help you save yourself tons of money.

You should get to the auction early and get a feel for those who are your competition. You want to walk around and get a feel for the different attitudes and enthusiasm that these people have about the same cars that you are considering bidding on. Another good thing to do is to try and figure out how many people might be thinking about bidding on the same car you are. This will help you figure out whether or not it's going to be worth bidding for. You don't want to waste your time or effort on something that you don't have a shot at winning the bid for.

After you find out what cars are being put up for auction, it's your right to ask for information on it so that you can get a CARFAX on it. This will give you a history report on the vehicle and will let you know whether or not there might be some problems with it in the near future. Just because the car looks great doesn't mean that something didn't happen to it in the past that might affect it's performance in the future.
